Set theoretic proof for the Jordan Curve Theorem

This article was presented by the author as lecture material for a congressional meeting of an international mathematical organization.  It was entitled ‘Set theoretic proof for the Jordan curve theorem’ presented in Beijing China 2002.  The article shows a simplified proof for the famous Jordan Curve Theorem which had been exhaustedly proven in the 1970’s with methods of algebraic topology. It demonstrates the stratified nature of spaces as component parts of spaces with greater dimension.
